StAR Award recipients announced. MTNA is pleased to announce the 2009 StAR Award Recipients. TheStudent Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award is given to outstandinggraduating music students intending to become independent music teachersor collegiate music professors. Faculty and music administrators ofcommunity colleges, colleges and universities from across the countryselect recipients based on academic excellence, successful teachingexperience and demonstrated leadership abilities. StAR Award recipients receive a complimentary one-year MTNA activeor student membership, depending on the degree obtained.
