Synonym pudding. Webster's Tenth Collegiate dictionary lists synonyms of headword head��word?n.1. A word, phrase, or name, usually set in boldface or other distinctive type, that serves as the heading for an entry in a dictionary, encyclopedia, or similar reference work. Also called entry word.2. adjectives in two ways: in small caps in the main definition set, and atthe end with the heading syn followed by a group of additionalsmall cap synonyms. Certainones have words in common; in the most extreme case, a set of sixteenhave such an entanglement. These overlaps are diagrammed below. This is part of the syngroup SIMPLE-foolish-silly- fatuous-asinine, which in turn is linkedwith six other syn groups (40, 41.43, 44, 45, 46).
